Richard McLaren, Co-Founder and CEO
An internationally recognized expert in sports law and arbitration, Professor Richard McLaren has spent his career working at the highest levels to protect the integrity of sports. Professor McLaren is involved in the adjudication of sports-related disputes at both the amateur and professional level. As a member and Arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS), he has arbitrated key sport cases around the world. As an Ad Hoc Panel Member of CAS, he has participated in five Olympic Games during which he resolved disputes pertaining to anti-doping, athlete eligibility and intellectual property rights.
Professor McLaren has lent his expertise across multiple sports – including serving as a consultant in the independent investigation into the illegal use of steroids/performance enhancing drugs by players in Major League Baseball (the “Mitchell Report”). McLaren was a member of WADA’s Independent Commission examining systemic doping and corruption in Russian athletics. In 2016 McLaren lead the investigation into allegations of sample tampering at the 2014 Sochi Games. He has experience working with a number of international sports and federations, including: NHL, European Tour, FIBA, FIA, International Cricket (ICC) and the Tennis Integrity Unit. -
Matoula Mitropoulos, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development
Matoula has extensive experience working with stakeholders including government officials, institution leaders, the corporate and sports community as well as non-profits over the past 15 years. Matoula’s career has focused on Partnerships and Corporate Relations which has included sponsorship and fundraising. Her career kick started with the Government of Ontario Canada and Western University overseeing community relations/partnerships and fundraising. She has also worked in marketing roles for the hospitality industry which includes the Dream Hotel Group in New York. Matoula continues to provide services to a Hackergal, a Non Profit in Canada focused on teaching girls code. Matoula resides in Miami Florida and heads up the business development and marketing for MGSS.

Bob Copeland, Senior Vice President
Bob is an experienced leader in sport management in Canada specializing in university, amateur, and community based sport. His combination of private sector and public sector experience together with strong research credentials provides clients with trusted solutions.
Bob Copeland is an accomplished speaker and sport integrity advocate with a story to tell, including his role in leading the University of Waterloo Warriors football team through one of the highest profile doping scandals in Canadian university sport history. As a result of these efforts, Copeland received Taylor's Award from the Taylor Hooton Foundation for courage in leading the effort to protect young people from the dangers of steroids and other APEDs. The only other recipient of this award is Bud Selig, Commissioner of Major League Baseball. -
Diana Tesic, Legal Associate
Diana Tesic MA, JD, is a corporate/commercial lawyer with extensive expertise in sports law, arbitration and sports investigations. She is an arbitrator for the FIBA Appeals Panel and previously worked as counsel to the President of the Basketball Arbitration Tribunal.
Diana has worked on several high profile sports investigations including WADA’s Independent Commission Investigation into doping and corruption at the IAAF, WADA’s Independent Person Investigation into the Russian state-sponsored doping manipulation and cover-up. She is involved with the Weightlifting Investigation into the IWF with McLaren and team. Diana represents professional athletes in the negotiation of their agency and commercial agreements and disputes. -
Wade Wilson PhD, Research Associate
Wade is a lecturer and researcher in the Kinesiology Department at the University of Waterloo Canada and owner of his own mental performance/sports psychology consulting business, Wilson & Associates Mental Performance Consulting. His areas of expertise include mental performance, sport psychology, sociology of physical activity and well-being, moral disengagement in sport, attitudes towards PEDs, obsessive passion in sport and physical activity, and anti-social behavior in sport, along with research methods and statistics.
Wade became a member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association in 2008 and has since been providing athletes and coaches with the mental skills and techniques to take their performance to the next level and maintain success.
Wade currently works with a variety of Canadian Inter-University Sport varsity athletes, high performance elite youth and amateur athletes, professional athletes, and coaches, in both individual, and team settings. Wade’s area of focus with MGSS includes technical reports and research projects.

The company focuses on specialized skills including sport integrity and governance, government advisory, cyber investigation and monitoring, human intelligence and whistleblower support.
Martin Dubbey, the Managing Director of Harod is a key partner to MGSS on various contracts, working directly with CEO Richard McLaren. Martin worked in UK law enforcement for more than 30 years, with HM Customs and the Serious Organized Crime Agency (now the NCA).
